One Book 4 Colorado Golden Ticket Prize!

Preschool students in Limon Colorado

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, Lt. Governor Joe Garcia visited the Limon Child Development Center to read Giraffes Can’t Dance to the preschool students there as well as students from Hugo.  Joining in on the fun was Limon Mayor Julie Coonts, the Cheyenne Kiowa Lincoln Early Childhood Council, the Limon Memorial Library, the Lincoln County Bookmobile, Reach Out and Read Colorado, and students from the local high school.

2016 is the 5th year of One Book 4 Colorado, and we’re so proud to be giving out our 300,000th book! In honor of this momentous occasion, we created the Golden Ticket prize that the recipient of our 300,000th book would win. One Book 4 Colorado teamed up with Walmart and Southwest Airlines to provide a suitcase of books as well as 2 plane tickets, to highlight that reading is a journey to take you anywhere you can imagine.
